MINIS´TÉRIO PÚBLICO DO ESTADO DO ACRE

The Ministério Público do Estado do Acre (Public Ministry of the State of Acre - MPAC) is the institution of prosecution in the State of Acre, which aims to defend the rights of citizens and the interests of society. It was created on July 26, 1963. It is governed by state supplementary law No. 291, of December 29, 2014, its organic law. It is currently headed by the Attorney General of Justice Danilo Lovisaro do Nascimento.

Its first Attorney General was Lourival Marques, appointed in 1963 by the first governor of the State of Acre, José Augusto de Araújo. It originally functioned in a room in the Court of Justice building. Only in 1986 was its first headquarters inaugurated, the Promotor Tancredo Neves building.

The current headquarters of the Attorney General's Office was inaugurated in 2014, and is located at Rua Marechal Deodoro, 472, Centro - CEP: 69.900-333, Rio Branco/AC, Phone: (68) 3212-2000. It is enrolled in CNPJ n. 04.034.450/0001-56.
